A little about me:

My name is L Wallace, I am a 19 year old ceramic artist based in Mechanicsburg PA.

I am a young aspiring career potter that makes a wide range of colorful stoneware and porcelain items decorated with bright colors, additive texture, and hand carved designs, that merge utilitarian function with my love for stories, science, sculpture and illustration.

My main goal is to make colorful, sustainable, and unique ceramic designs while maintaing quality and function.

L Wallace Ceramics’s Values:

HANDMADE & HAND DESIGNED

Each piece is made with my own two hands, from the designing, producing, managing, and shipping.

My work is made in my home studio using wheel thrown and hand built techniques, and with the use of mid-fire materials including brooklyn red stoneware, white stoneware, mid range porcelain, and commercially made glazes, underglazes, and stains, before being fired in an electric kiln.

QUALITY & LONGEVITY

Since pottery is one of the most time-durable household materials on the planet, all items are made with longevity in mind, and all work intended for food use is lead free and food safe. I believe that art and tools in the home should be maintained and kept until they are unable to be used any longer, so I intend all pieces to be unique, useful, and functional long term.

HONESTY & SUSTAINABILITY

I promise to continue to highly value ethical business practices and environmental sustainability, and take steps every day to limit my business’s and my own carbon footprint, now and as I grow with my business.

All orders will be shipped in either reused/repurposed plastic, and/or paper materials, and all items intended for food use are lead free and food safe.
